The technical writing course profiled below has gone through a couple of iterations over the past few years as it’s been fine-tuned to meet the needs of learners. The remixed version is live right now, and it has had a 96% success rate over the past two semesters.
The Remix
About This Project:
This Technical Writing course was designed as an asynchronous online experience for juniors and seniors at a mid-sized, private university. The course remix occurred as a result of several data metrics drawn from learner feedback and success rates for specific modules and activities. The revision incorporated more visual design elements, including parallel structure, white space, patterns and repetition. This redesign also automated several peer-editing assignments, and it incorporated more authentic assessments and scenario-based learning.
